About

My name is Jess McCulloch. I am a teacher and an edublogger. With all the teacher conversations going on around me about how we should be teaching for the 21st century. I thought I’d ask the kids what they think too.

Every Friday lunchtime I have yard duty and take my iPod and voice recorder with me to ask the students different questions about their learning and education. I ask a different question each week and you can hear what my students have to say in the podcast.

Please visit the Forum page and leave suggestions for questions that you think would make good Vox Pops. Also, if you want to be part of a FVP episode let me know by leaving a comment and I’d be more than happy to hear your voice and your students voices in one of the episodes.

I teach Chinese to all year levels (except Y12 this year) at a small P12 (K12) school in country SW Victoria, Australia.

My other blogs are:

technoLOTE (notes on teaching languages through technology)

technoChinese (my classroom blog)

The Rise of Reflection  (my personal reflections on various topics related to my teaching)
